First, this blog and our Party has never described January 6 as an insurrection nor a coup but simply an unruly crowd that became a mob that was incited by a demagogue.
You are no doubt referring to Black Lives Matter and Antifa as the main proponents of violence. Again this blog nor our Party has endorsed rioting. We apply this principle to all situations because political violence is self-defeating.
The vast majority of BLM demonstrations have been proven to have passed off peacefully. And it is judged by some that the lax policing of those few that became out of control was due to a deliberate policy of some politicians.
However, you seem to ignore the THREAT of right-wing violence from armed organised groups such as the Proud Boys, the 3% ers and other militias or the Bundys. You overlook the occupation of the Michigan state-building by right-wing protesters brandishing weapons to intimidate the law-makers and the conspiracy to abduct its governor.

I think all parties everywhere use a similar tactic to suit their own purposes - just another method of manipulation.
