Blood for oil

Oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens told Congress that U.S. energy companies are "entitled" to some of Iraq's crude because of the large number of American troops that lost their lives fighting in the country.

Boone, speaking to the newly formed Congressional Natural Gas Caucus, complained that the Iraqi government has awarded contracts to foreign companies, particularly Chinese firms, to develop Iraq's vast reserves.

"They're opening them [oil fields] up to other companies all over the world ... We're entitled to it," Pickens said of Iraq's oil. "Heck, we even lost 5,000 of our people, 65,000 injured and a trillion, five hundred billion dollars."

"We leave there with the Chinese getting the oil," he said

As Burns said "The best plans of men and mice often go awry" !!!

Of course the Chinees will out bid everyone else, and capital has no conscience, only loyalty to profit.

On the subject of oil,i was watching an excellent documentary the other night about the Columbian oil wars, and the fight of the indigenous natives the u!WA people, its The Blood of Earth, cant recall the directors name.

It was about their battle to retain their land and stop the desolation and pollution caused by the oil companies.Their belief of centuries old conservation and our duty to preserve our planet was inspiring, all be it that their chief was permanently wasted chewing cocoa leaves.
